Our origins
Baião is a little piece of heaven on the border between Alto Douro and Trás-os-Montes. The ideal place to recharge your batteries and embrace a little of our hospitality, culture and gastronomy.
The Bosque da Fantasia is located in a parish in the municipality of Baião, next to the town of Mesão Frio, where you can find wonderful views of the Douro River.
Here you can taste roast lamb accompanied by the famous oven-baked rice and washed down with an excellent vinho verde, a true Portuguese stew with regional sausages and a good red wine from the Douro and for sweet moments, cavacas from Resende, sweets from Teixeira and even sweets from Régua.
